Discuss the two possible steps suggested for making the adaptation process easier and faster.

     Adaptation process is different for each person, if we want to make this adaptation easier and faster we must to explore American culture because this help us to understand better their own life system, for example we can get out and go different places to meet new people and make friends after we are not going to feel different.  Furthermore we need to know information about that place, that is, to ask information to another person and sometimes get books, also we have to get used to the new language, food, environment, etc.

     The adaptation of the custom of other country will depend of the attitude in each person but sometimes could be difficult.

Discuss the major events that led up to the American Revolution. Include dates in your discussion

After the 13 colonies were settled the problems between the king of England and the 13 colonies started and finished with the American Revolution.  Britain had expanded quickly, so it needed that soldiers protected its new American territory but the Britain needed money, therefore the parliament decided to tax the 13 colonies.  The tax was called Stamp Act which the colonies had to pay a Royal Stamp for newspaper, magazine and legal paper; so with this law started problems in 1765 because the colonies did not want to pay it.  Afterwards, the 13 colonies decided to have a protest against the law, they reclaimed that the parliament could not make laws for the 13 colonies because they did not have any representation in the parliament; on the other hand they did not want to accept anything without their consent.  As a result of this protest in 1767 parliament said another law that also the 13 colonies had to pay import taxes, then there were more protest and in Boston had an issue that made the colonists angry “the Boston massacre” in1770 where soldiers killed 5 citizens.  Due to this massacre Parliament decided to repeal the import taxes except the tax on tea, people already did not want to buy tea from British and they made their own tea party in 1773. After that the king of Britain closed the port of Boston like a punishment, but this decision did not like the colonists so now, they wanted to be independent from Britain and consequently begin the American Revolution. In 1775 the colonists fought against British troops and this war finish until 1783. Then the 13 colonies began a new period of a new nation.
