  3. REVIEW (10 min.): Expressing CAUSE & EFFECT in 4 ways, using
    different discourse markers -- 
    Techniques of Sentence Combination/Discourse Markers
    • TEAMS, Wk 2: On the Google doc CAUSE & EFFECT: The Civil War
      write 4 sentences about 
      the Civil War, using the 4 types of discourse markers.
  1. RESEARCH: Evaluating Web Sites--criteria for finding
    credible and up-to-date sources on the Internet
    • TEAMS (3 min.): Brainstorm criteria -- list them on the board. 
  2. TEAMS (30 min.): Researching a topic on the Civil War 
    • With your Week 2 team member, select a topic related to the Civil War to research.
    • Go to Google and find ONE webpage on your topic. 
    • Use the worksheet: Evaluating Web Sites to evaluate your website/page.
  1. Read all of the text. Highlight/annotate. Complete pages 41-46.
  2. RESEARCH:
    • Post your 2 additional sources per team member on the Google doc Research: Civil War, using APA style -- See the example.
