Visit

Journal Entry: Talk about your visit to Professor Hideko Furukawa's Japanese Class.  What did you do?  How did you feel talking with the students?  Did anything surprise you? What did you like the most?

Visit 1  8/30

This afternoon I participated in Professor Furukawa's Japanese class and enjoyed talking with some students. The TWCU students spoke in English, and the students in the Japanese class spoke in Japanese. I was surprised because they could write every Hiragana and they had two thick books named "Genki". Genki means "Fine" in English. A girl who is from Boston taught me a word "cuddle,"  which means hug. Denis said that he will go to Kansaigaidai in Japan.  I could enjoy talking with four students in English, so  I was very happy !

Visit 2  9/6

On September sixth I took part in Pofessor Furukawa's Japanese class and enjoyed talking with cards.  The students had studied Japanese only two weeks ! I think it is so difficult for them to speak Japanese because when I had studied English for two weeks, I could not speak English. I also taught them how to write their name in Hiragana.

Visit 3  9/13

This afternoon I participated in Professor Furukawa's Japanese class and enjoyed talking with a game. I met a girl whose name is Jane. She started studying Japanese three years ago, so she is good at speaking Japanese. She likes POKEMON whish is Japanese animation's name. She taught me that POKEMON's name in America is different from the name in Japan. She is good at writing novels because she took a writing class last semester. I met Denis whom I met on the thirtieth of August. I was so happy to talk with him again.
